CoMotion LIVE Webinar - University Transit: Reliable Mobility for Students
CoMotion LIVE Webinar - Supported by Transloc
Recorded on August 24, 2022
Description
Many college students lack a reliable method of transportation. The vast majority of U.S. college students commute to school, but when affordable and accessible transportation options are not available, it can become very difficult or impossible for some to not only attend class, but travel to their place of work, grocery store or community center. In this interactive and engaging discussion, we'll get into questions surrounding the relationship between municipal transit and universities, and how collaboration between the two entities can lead to better service for all college students looking to get to campus and other essential destinations. We'll also talk about gender equity issues in university transit relating to safety, as well as touching on new funding sources for universities to advance their transportation systems.
